A Six-Week Burlesque Ensemble Experience 6-Week Session | $175 Sundays | 3:30–5 PM Sept. 27 – Nov. 1 Culminating Performance: November 13 | 7–9 PM Ready to go beyond the burlesque basics? The Revue Project is a six-week burlesque ensemble experience designed for those ready to move beyond the basics. Through advanced reveals, character development, and collaborative performance-making, participants will rehearse and perform a fully realized group act while deepening their stage presence and musicality. Together, we'll explore what it means to take the stage, developing stronger connections to ourselves, our classmates, and our audience. Along the way we'll build ensemble through shared warm-ups, collaborative rehearsal, and creative risk-taking, discovering how trust, timing, and presence transform individual performers into an ensemble. Whether you're building on the foundations established in Intro to Burlesque or returning to burlesque after time away, this class offers a supportive environment to deepen your practice and prepare for performance. Expect to: Explore character development and stage presence. Strengthen your musicality and relationship with an audience. Experience the joy and accountability of ensemble work. Rehearse and perform a collaborative group act. Share your work as part of a culminating intimate cabaret. Prerequisites The Revue Project is designed for participants with a foundational understanding of burlesque. Participants should have completed all four House of the Lorde Intro to Burlesque series or possess comparable burlesque performance experience. Apply at: www.houseofthelorde.com/scholarship About Po'Chop Jenn Freeman, who also performs as Po'Chop, is an interdisciplinary artist who weaves burlesque, drag, storytelling, and movement into worlds that illuminate and interrogate Black queer life. They are the co-founder of House of the Lorde, co-producer of Notes on Masculinity, and creator of The Black Burlesque Directory. Their work has been supported by United States Artists, Dance/USA, the Foundation for Contemporary Arts and Chicago Dancemakers Forum. They have been named one of the Top 50 Most Influential Burlesque Artists by 21st Century Burlesque.
