How do I get to House of the Lorde?
GETTING TO HOTL
Typing “House of the Lorde” into Google Maps will lead you directly to our space.
House of the Lorde is located inside Mana Contemporary at 2233 S Throop St, Suite 502 (5th Floor).
The entrance to the building is on the east side, accessible at Allport and Cermak. Despite the address, you cannot enter the building from Throop Street.
Here’s a short video to guide you into the parking lot.
ENTRANCE
There are 7 Steps leading to the entrance of Mana Contemporary
or an ADA accessible ramp.
Once inside the building you will need to ask the elevator attendant for a ride to the 5th floor.
The elevator is an industrial elevator.

Traveling via CTA
You can travel to House of the Lorde via the below routes:
-Red Line or Green Line to Cermak. Then #21 Bus (towards North Riverside Mall) to Cermak & Throop. Walk .1 miles to House of the Lorde.
-#60 (towards Cicero/24 Pl) to Loomis & Cermak. Walk .3 miles to House of the Lorde.
-#3/#4 Bus to Cermak & Michigan. #21 Bus to Cermak & Throop. Walk .1 miles to HOuse of the Lorde.

House of the Lorde is located in Chicago's Pilsen neighborhood.
We are inside an artist complex, Mana Contemporary.

How do I enter the building?
The entrance of to Mana Contemporary is located on the east side of the building best accessed via Allport and Cermak.
There are 7 steps leading up to the building or an ADA accessible ramp.
Buzz to be let in by the front desk/elevator attendant.
What should I expect when I arrive?
There are 7 steps leading up to the entrance of the building and an ADA accessible ramp.
Once inside, a front desk attendant will buzz you in, ask you to sign in, and escort you upstairs via an industrial elevator. You may need to knock on the door and ask for an elevator ride.
Because this is a shared building, you may need to wait a few minutes if the elevator is in use. If you’re waiting longer than five minutes, feel free to call us at 773-364-1881.
Stairs are also available just past the front desk area, to the right.
Is House of the Lorde accessible?
House of the Lorde is located on the 5th floor and is accessible via stairs or an industrial elevator.
There are steps leading up to the building entrance, and a wheelchair-accessible ADA ramp is available at the entrance. If you need additional support, please contact us ahead of time so we can assist you.
If you need time, breaks, or assistance navigating the space, you are welcome to take them.
There are ADA compliant, gendered and gender neutral, single stalled bathrooms available.
What is your mask policy?
House of the Lorde is committed to community care and accessibility.
Our space is masked. Masks are required for all classes and events hosted by House of the Lorde.
At times, guest artists and teachers use the space. These offerings are not always masked.
You can find the mask designation for each offering on our offerings page and bulletin board, indicated by an icon in the upper right-hand corner.
We ask that you stay home if you are feeling unwell or experiencing any symptoms of illness. When possible, we also encourage taking a COVID test before attending.
KN95 masks are available at the entrance if you need one.
