House of the Lorde is located inside Mana Contemporary
2233 S Throop St, Suite 502 on the 5th floor.
The entrance to the building is located on the east side and can be accessed at Allport and Cermak. Despite what the address might indicate you can not enter the building on Throop St. Here is a video of turning into the parking lot.
There are 5 steps leading up to the doors of the complex. HOTL is located on the 5th floor and is accessible via an industrial elevator or stairs. There will be a front desk attendant who will buzz you into the building and bring you upstairs via the elevator. You might have to wait a few minutes to be let in if the elevator attendant is occupied operating the elevator.
If you wait longer than 5 minutes call HOTL at 773.364.1881.

-Red Line or Green Line to Cermak. Then #21 Bus (towards North Riverside Mall) to Cermak & Throop. Walk .1 miles to House of the Lorde.
-#60 (towards Cicero/24 Pl) to Loomis & Cermak. Walk .3 miles to House of the Lorde.
-#3/#4 Bus to Cermak & Michigan. #21 Bus to Cermak & Throop. Walk .1 miles to HOuse of the Lorde.

The classes, workshops and happenings that are offered at House of the Lorde are not exclusive to Black, POC and Queer folks however unlike most spaces we center the experiences of Black, POC and Queer folks. Meaning these are the experiences used as examples, guides, music selections etc. during the class and what is reflected in the space.

Wear clothes that are comfortable and easy to move in. Adorn yourself with items that make you feel confident and rooted in yourself. Folks have worn anything from leggings, sweats, and shorts to fishnets and crop tops.
For footwear you are encouraged to dance barefoot or in suede bottomed heels.

House of the Lorde is committed to the health and safety of all who visit our space. Masks are required at all events at House of the Lorde.
We strongly encourage the following actions prior to your visit:
- Administer a antigen COVID-19 test to ensure you are not infectious that day​
- Upgrade your cloth masks to a KN95 (We will have some onsite)
- Stay home if you are experiencing symptoms
