The Revue Project A Six-Week Burlesque Ensemble Experience 6-Week Session | $175 Sundays | 3:30 - 5 PM August 2 - Sept 13 (No Class August 23) Culminating Performance: September 25 House of the Lorde 2233 S. Throop St., Suite 502, Chicago, IL Maximum: 10 Participants Ready to go beyond the burlesque basics? The Revue Project is a six-week burlesque ensemble experience designed for those ready to move beyond the basics. Through advanced reveals, character development, and collaborative performance-making, participants will deepen their confidence, stage presence, and sense of play while learning and rehearsing a fully realized group act. Together, we'll explore what it means to take the stage in community, developing stronger connections to ourselves, our castmates, and our audience. Whether you're building on the foundations established in Intro to Burlesque or returning to burlesque after time away, this class offers a supportive environment to continue growing as a performer. Expect to: Learn advanced reveals and burlesque techniques Explore character development and stage presence Strengthen musicality, confidence, and audience relationship Experience the joy and accountability of ensemble work Rehearse and perform a collaborative group act Share your work as part of a culminating intimate cabaret Prerequisites: The Revue Project is designed for participants with a foundational understanding of burlesque. Participants should have completed all four House of the Lorde Intro to Burlesque series or possess comparable burlesque performance experience. If you're unsure whether this class is the right fit for you, we encourage you to reach out before registering. Cost a barrier? One scholarship spot is reserved for a Black, Indigenous, Person of Color, or queer participant for whom cost is a barrier. Apply at: www.houseofthelorde.com/scholarship About Po'Chop Jenn Freeman, also known as Po'Chop, is an interdisciplinary artist weaving burlesque, drag, storytelling, and movement to explore Black queer life. They are co-founder of House of the Lorde, co-producer of Notes on Masculinity, and creator of The Black Burlesque Directory. Their work has been supported by United States Artists, Dance/USA, and more.
