This session centers how the body meets the room before movement begins. Participants will work with weight, balance, legs, arms, and spatial awareness to build grounded stances that feel rooted, confident, and embodied. We will explore how stillness, gaze, and subtle shifts in posture can hold attention and communicate intentional choice. Robe work is introduced as a foundational tool for understanding burlesque as the art of the tease, emphasizing pacing and building tension. No prior burlesque or dance experience is required. All bodies are welcome. Suede or rubber-bottom shoes or heels are encouraged but not required.
