This immersive course introduces you to the foundations of drag king artistry, equipping you with the essential tools to craft a compelling drag king persona. Weekly Breakdown: ✨ Week 1: Embodying a Persona – Dive into character creation and discover the essence of your drag king. ✨ Week 2: Movement & Lip Sync – Master posture, gestures, and movements to bring your character to life while refining your lip-syncing skills. ✨ Week 3: Visual Transformation (Makeup) – Learn foundational makeup techniques for creating masculine and exaggerated features. ✨ Week 4: Putting It All Together – Combine all your skills in an informal showcase shared with your classmates. This supportive, beginner-friendly class welcomes all identities, skill levels, and abilities. Accommodations and modifications are available to ensure everyone can fully participate. What to Bring: Comfortable clothing to move in A journal to capture insights and ideas as you develop your persona Safety Measures: Masks will be worn for the first week, and antigen tests will be provided for subsequent classes.
