Chicago Burlesque Classes 4-Week Session | $125 Mondays | 11 - Noon June 8 - June 29 Intro to Burlesque: Bumps & Grinds Edition Beginner-friendly • No experience needed • Small group Ready to try something new? This 4-week series is your invitation into burlesque through one of its most iconic foundations: bumps & grinds. Whether you’ve never danced before or are looking to reconnect with your body, this class meets you right where you are. Led by Po’Chop, you’ll learn how to move your hips with confidence, connect breath to movement, and build rhythm, control, and ease in your body. Each week, we’ll break things down step-by-step so you can feel supported, challenged, and celebrated. Expect to: Learn classic burlesque movements (bumps, grinds and more) Build confidence in your body and how you move Let go of overthinking and tap into pleasure and play Be in a room where everyone is learning together By the end of the series, you’ll have a strong foundation in burlesque movement—and feel more at home in your body. Details Heels (suede or rubber-bottom) encouraged but not required All bodies and dance levels welcome Cost a barrier? Two scholarship spots per class are reserved for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color, and queer folks for whom cost is a barrier.
