About the event

House of the Lorde's, Reading Room is a casual, welcoming and creative gathering dedicated to studying the works of Black feminist writers and thinkers in community.


For September's edition we will read Zora Neale Hurston's How it Feels to Be Colored Me alongside excerpts from Christina Sharpe's Ordinary Notes.


Photocopies of the texts will be provided for all attendees.


Masks are required to ensure a safe, shared space.
