About the event
The Reading Room is a casual, welcoming and creative gathering dedicated to studying the works of Black feminist writers and thinkers. Each month, we select a piece of literature to read and discuss together, delving into ideas that challenge, inspire, and transform.
This June, we’ll be reading selections from Christina Sharpe’s Ordinary Notes and Akilah Oliver’s the she said dialogues: flesh memory. Together, we’ll reflect on beauty, Blackness, memory, and self-making.
Photocopies of the text will be provided for all attendees.
Masks are required at to ensure a safe, shared space.
All are welcome.
