As House of the Lorde's inaugural artist fellow, Jamila Kekulah is currently focusing on the next iteration of their work Lay Your Burdens Down. 

For this Open Studio, Jamila invites folks to step into their art practice by participating in a circle walk. 

Folks are encouraged to bring with them any meaningful prayer(s), poetry, affirmations, or chants that they feel called to share.

About Jamila

Jamila Kekulah is ever evolving in this space time continuum. Jamila is the creator of The Moving Soul, a holistic somatic movement practice that bridges the gap between soma, psyche and soul. They cultivate practices of awareness, sensing and feeling the potency of the bodymind connection. Their studies as a dancer, dance/movement therapist, Gyrokinesis teacher, zen shiatsu, and mindfulness guide ground their work.
