4 Week Session | $125 Sundays, May 14 - June 4 12:00 - 1 PM House of the Lorde | 2233 S. Throop Suite 502 Maximum: 15 Participants | Minimum: 7 Participants Do you have dreams of learning Burlesque? Want a fun, interactive way to connect with your body and gain confidence? Join renowned Chicago burlesque performer Po'Chop in Intro to Burlesque where the basics of striptease will be revealed to you. From classic feet positions and arm placements to strut patterns, Introduction to Burlesque will have you shimmying with glee and reveling in your body. This 4 week session of Intro to Burlesque will focus on Bumps & Grinds and will begin with a warm-up followed by middle-of-the floor exercises geared towards developing individual burlesque expression. Suede or rubber bottom heels/shoes encouraged but not necessary. All dance levels are welcome. All bodies are welcomed and accommodated. Two scholarship slots per class are reserved to accommodate Black, Indigenous, People of Color and Queer folks who want to enroll in class but money is a barrier.
