King in the Making: Drag King II (Visual Transformation) Chicago Drag King Class 6-Week Session | Tuesdays, Dec 2–Jan 20 | 6:30–7:45 PM NO CLASS Dec 23 & 30 $175 | House of the Lorde – 2233 S. Throop St, Suite 502 Expand your drag practice and refine your visual identity. Led by Po’Chop, this continuation of King in the Making: Drag King 101 guides participants through the art of visual transformation. You’ll experiment with costuming and makeup to explore how your King takes form and tells story through image. This class includes guided exercises, reflection, guest instructors, and collaborative feedback designed to support your creative process. By the end of the six weeks, participants will have developed a cohesive signature look that reflects their unique drag perspective. Prerequisite Completion of King in the Making: Drag King 101 (or equivalent experience) is required. What to Bring Comfortable clothes for movement A journal for reflection and sketching visual ideas Any makeup, costume pieces, or props you’d like to explore Safety Measures Masks required during the first week Antigen tests provided for following sessions Scholarships Two scholarship spots are reserved per session for Black, Indigenous, People of Color, and Queer individuals for whom finances are a barrier.
